When Tradition Meets the Blockchain: A Tribute to Elsie & The edicurial collection Why I Love Collectors Like Elsie
When I create art, I’m often thinking about the story it tells. But sometimes, it’s the collector who helps finish that story.
In a world of fast trends, Elsie represents thoughtful collecting. By adding my work to The Edicurial Collection, they are preserving a piece of cultural history for the future.
I’m honored to shine a spotlight on Elsie, the founder of The Edicurial Collection.

Established in 2021, The Edicurial Collection (a clever blend of “edit” and “curatorial”) has a vital mission: to introduce people from the traditional art world to the dynamic realm of contemporary digital art. As Brian Droitcour noted in Outland, it represents a wide range of styles, from abstract animations to narrative figuration.
For an artist like me—who has spent 50 years moving from sculpture and painting to Amiga graphics and crypto art—being part of this collection feels like a homecoming..
By acquiring my pieces, Elsie is helping to prove that digital art is not a fleeting trend, but a legitimate, rich extension of the art history we all know and love. She is building the bridge that allows traditional collectors to cross over and find beauty in the new.
Thank you, Elsie, for your visionary curation and for trusting my work to represent this intersection of old and new. You are helping to write the next chapter of art history.
Here’s to the collectors who see the soul in the art
