Angie Taylor is an artist.

Angie Taylor does not receive any funding and is supported entirely by her own work as an artist and teacher.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

We use a contact form so that people can send us emails securely. This gathers your name, email address and country so that we can keep in touch with you and send you relevant information for your area. We hold your information securely on private servers.

We keep contact form submissions for five years for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through these forms for marketing purposes. We only use this information to reply to messages and to keep the person up to date with information about courses they have enquired about or have expressed an interest in.

Newsletter

Our newsletter is currently sent using Revue. You can read about their privacy policy and terms here.

Our newsletter is used to send you news about Angie’s latest projects and news – until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Analytics

We currently use Google Analytics but are removing this from our websites very soon. Users can opt out of analytics tracking by installing a browser plugin . Here is a link to Google Analytics privacy policy.

We host our website on WordPress which  does not collect any analytics data. Our web hosting account may collect some anonymous analytics data. You can check out our web hosting provider here and find out more about how they collect data.

Who we share your data with

We do not share site data with any partners. We use iCloud to sync contacts between computers and devices. This includes contacts and emails. This is a secure service offered by Apple. We use strong, secure, unique passwords for this and have firewalls and net barriers in place to protect the information.

We use Paypal to process payments. Read their privacy policy here.

We use Xero to manage our accounts and invoicing. Read their privacy policy here.

By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

When you use our contact form to send us email we will retain that information for five years for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through these forms for marketing purposes. We only use this information to reply to messages and to keep the person up to date with information about courses they have enquired about or have expressed an interest in.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

To protect your data we only store it on secure, private servers and local machines. We use secure and unique passwords for all services. We only have one member of staff with access to data (Angie Taylor). She is acutely aware of the importance of data protection and has carried out a Privacy Impact Assessment.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In the unlikely event of a data breach we will contact all relevant parties within 72 hours.

What third parties we receive data from

We do not receive data from any third parties.

We accept invoice payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
